May 30, 2017 · 6:00 pm · 8:00 pm
Mead Public Library
Forward Sheboygan, a newly formed non-partisan politically progressive organization, is pleased to announce a debate featuring candidates for Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair on May 30th in the Mead Public Library’s Rocca Room. Mead Public Library is located at 710 N 8th Street in Sheboygan and the Rocca Room is on the first floor. This 90-minute debate will start at 6:30 p.m., with doors open at 6 p.m. The candidates who have confirmed their appearance are:
Martha Laning (incumbent)
Forward Sheboygan Board member Ryan Burg says about the debate, “We are excited to have these 3 candidates at this event. As one of the last events before the Wisconsin Democratic Party Convention on June 3rd, our debate will give the candidates a final chance to explain to progressives why their plan to energize the Democratic Party is the best one.”
As part of the debate, audience members will be allowed to submit questions for the candidates. Question forms will be available at the time of the event. There is no charge for the debate, however, seats are limited.
Created after the November 2016 election, Forward Sheboygan is a group of concerned Sheboygan County citizens whose goal is to educate the public about issues impacting our neighbors from a progressive point of view, encourage the development of local leaders and support them in running for local office.
