Join the Waukesha County Democratic Party for their 2015 Nelson-Proxmire Dinner on Saturday, March 7– the 50th anniversary of “bloody Sunday” in Selma and the 49th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision upholding the Voting Rights Act.
We’ll examine the status of voting rights here in Wisconsin today with James H. Hall, Jr., past president of the Milwaukee Chapter of the NAACP and one of the attorneys involved in the continuing challenge to Wisconsin’s voter ID law. Then we’ll explore the future of the Wisconsin Democratic Party with the major candidates running for state party chair at this June’s state convention.
Don’t miss the opportunity to support the on-going work of our party and to visit with old friends and make new ones at this special event.
